One of the central tenets of the Society's mission statement is to help people in need regardless of 'Creed'.
In Northern Ireland the Society has formed close relationships with two of the main Protestant churches - the Methodists and the Presbyterian Church through Belfast Central Mission and the Salvation Army.
We are also represented on C.A.P. 'Church Action on Poverty' which brings together all the main religious groups to help find ways of highlighting and tackling issues on poverty in Northern Ireland.
On a local level, conferences visit people regardless of their religion who either approach them directly for help, or are referred by community, voluntary and statutory organisations from all over Northern Ireland.
Joint Appeals for toys are made at Christmas with the Salvation Army and the Family Appeal and with the Belfast Central Mission and the Annual Giving Tree.
