The concept of a Thrift Shop or 'nearly-new boutique' was first hatched by St Therese Conference in North Belfast back in the mid 1970s.
Our first shop opened in 1976 beneath our old regional headquarters in Eia Street. Quality donated second hand clothing could be bought by needy people unable to afford new prices or afraid to venture into the city centre due to the troubles.
Since then 30 other shops have opened throughout Northern Ireland providing a much needed resource for local communities. Whilst the troubles have left us, unfortunately the poor have not.
