All ten trainees completed the course and everyone passed both their 'theory' and 'practical' driving tests and were presented with their certificates at a short ceremony at Belfast Castle on Thursday 10th July 2008.

Speaking at the event, regional president Cormac Wilson remarked:- "It is just wonderful to see the results of what can be achieved in such a short space of time...all your hard work has paid off and you are all to be congratulated on your efforts".

Trainers Brian Weldon and Marie Finnegan were presented with gifts from the trainees for all their help. Brian reminded everyone that it was a cross-community venture based at two venues in north Belfast; and that they were actively encouraging trainees to apply from the Lower Oldpark, Shore Road and Tiger's Bay areas.
