The
fashion parade show-cased styles from Bay Trading Co and Poppies
Boutique of the Diamond in Derry. Girls from both Belmont
Secondary and St Cecilia's modeled the latest fashions, and
this was quickly followed by an exhibition of St Cecilia's
creations based on Art themes. The pieces were very innovative
and colourful to say the least.

"Needless
to say the SVP Youth girls were on standby to help with
the make-up and accessorising the models, as well as
being the perfect hostesses, as well as ensuring the
smooth running of the day".

St
Cecilia's College Derry |
By
way of highlighting the work from the past two years of the
year 12 Life Skills classes and local fashion stores, the
girls at St Cecilia's held a 'Fashion
Show' on Friday 23rd February 2007.
St
Cecilia's also incorporated another local school, Belmont
Secondary, in order to provide vital models for the
catwalk.
The
day's events were organised and stage-managed by Mrs Clare
Mullan, who is also the teacher responsible for the SVP Youth
group within the school.

A
cake sale was held after the show, and the joint proceeds
of both events will go towards Breast Cancer Awareness, a
worthy cause in anyone's eyes.
Well
done St Cecilia's on a lively, colourful and fun afternoon.
