Thanking the Viridian Group, SVP Regional Administrator Aileen Coney said: "This money will be used to provide practical help and improve the quality of life of those disadvantaged and left vulnerable through poverty throughout Northern Ireland.
This very welcome donation will assist the Society in fulfilling our aim to offer friendship, support and practical help, on a person to person basis, to everyone who is in need regardless of race, colour, creed, class or group in the community to which they belong". | Patrick Haren, Chief Executive of Viridian, the Belfast group that owns energy businesses N.I.E., Energia and Powerteam, made the donation as he visited some of the our facilities in North Belfast.
Meeting St Vincent de Paul workers Mr Haren said: "Viridian Group is very committed to this economy and the local community. We all aspire to a society in which nobody feels excluded from the benefits of development and economic growth".
