| | In the afternoon,Laurie Rendall (Mediation Northern Ireland) conducted a very informative session on the meaning and effect of Conflict from the mundane to the very serious. This involved the entire group who all joined in very enthusiastically. Evaluation sheets indicated complete enjoyment and interest in what was a very different type of information sharing. There was much interest in further such days. |
| The day opened with a talk by Linda Savage (SVP Training & Development) on the general principles of visitation and the importance of carrying Identity Badges. This was followed by a presentation by Ray Brady (SVP) on the Society's Social Policy which led to a very lively debate. |

Sheina Rigg, Child Protection (Co-ordinator N&WSST) then led an excellent session on Child Protection Awareness complete with exercises which involved the entire group. Areas covered included the recruitment and management of staff and volunteers and the protection of children and workers. |
