"Nellie Push" passing SVP Regional Headquarters on Belfast's Antrim Road

The "Nellie Push" took place recently though Belfast using a replica elephant which was pushed along many of the main roads (including Falls, Shankill and Antrim) while volunteers collected from passers by and stationary traffic.

 

Society receives cheque for £920.46 following innovative cross-community fundraiser organised by the "Nellie Club".

 

The "Nellie Club" made the presentation of cheques (totalling over £5,000) to ourselves and several other local charities at a coffee morning in Belfast's Waterfront Hall, hosted by David Stewart.

Amongst the other local charities represented were, the Salvation Army, Action Mental Health, Marie Curie Cancer Care, NI Chest Heart & Stroke and Action MS.
