"Appreciation of Service" awards were presented to final year pupils of St Paul's High School in Bessbrook recently for their outstanding work in the area.

The ceremony was conducted by the Society's local Development Officer for Newry & Mourne John Grant and conference chaplain Fr Dermot Maloney and was followed with a buffet.

It is hoped that the local youth conference will continue its sterling work in the community helping with novel fundraising events at the school and visiting the elderly and infirm on a regular basis.
