| Almost 100 young members attend Youth Meeting The day long conference was held at Belfast's Wellington Park Hotel on Saturday 16th October 2004. The day's events kicked off with a warm welcome from Regional President Larry McArdle and prayers by Fr Moloney.

Several youth members spoke about their work visiting the elderly in residential homes. "Often the Society caller is the only person many of these people see outside their home" said Ruth McPhillips from St Cecilia's College in Derry. | |
| Guest Speaker Ronald Vellem from NICEM (N.I. Council for Ethnic Minorities) spoke about the plight of refugees and asylum seekers and the need for greater understanding and trust between the NI public and those coming here seeking a better life. |
The last speaker was Peter McMahon from St Peter's conference in West Belfast who addressed the meeting on the theme of Twinning with Ghana. He also shared his experience of the 2003 Ghana Trip when 20 Belfast Vincentians went to Accra on a joint House Building Project with Habitat for Humanity | |
