A major new drive to recruit young volunteers for the Society of St Vincent de Paul has been launched in the northern region. This coincides with the publication of a first magazine for young adults – ‘RSVP’ – nationally with the aim of bringing young blood into the Society.

Claire Caldwell (Queen's), Michael Gormley and Mairead McMahon (Queen's) at launch.
Michael Gormley (regional youth president), whose aim is to see a full-time regional youth officer, said “Interest in the the SVP among young people is growing and the publication addresses issues that are important to them”.
The magazines are being distributed by our network of 200 conferences throughout Northern Ireland to get the message across to potential recruits.
