Over 250 people attended our Annual Fundraising Dinner Dance on 29th November 2003.

Belfast Lord Mayor Cllr Martin Morgan was amongst many dignitaries, guests, SVP members and representatives of the business community who attended the event. Over £15,000 was raised through donations and singer Hugo Duncan provided entertainment.

Guest speaker John Hume addressed those gathered and praised the work of the Society in Northern Ireland. He described SVP volunteers as the 'quiet heroes' who carry out the very much important work of visiting people in their homes, in hospitals, in nursing homes, prisons and other places where those in need seek shelter.
