The Society of St Vincent de Paul has been helping to alleviate poverty in the north of Ireland since 1848.

Our 1,900 active members and auxiliaries work on a voluntary basis through 179 branches (conferences) spread throughout Northern Ireland.

Home visitation is the cornerstone of our work offering friendship, support, advice and practical help. Around 2,500 visits are made to families, pensioners and individuals each week. Examples of the type of help offered includes; cash assistance, food and clothing, fuel, debt relief, furniture and electrical items, toys and holidays.

Message of Thanks

Our Work

Without your generosity we would not be able to provide or sustain the level of support to the needy throughout our community.

Almost £2.3m of your money was spent during 2007 in cash assistance to needy families and individuals and a further £1m on cookers, washing machines and basic essential household furniture.
